ToiToiToi Treatment: Smooth vs Moist, Which to Choose, and How It Differs from GALBA

ToiToiToi is Little Scientist's "hair texture care" series for hair that tends to spread. The treatment comes in 2 types: "Smooth" and "Moist." We compare their differences, how to choose, and how they differ from GALBA by the same maker, using the maker's official information.

Smooth vs. Moist

Smooth Moist
Suited hair (official) Normal, fine and soft hair Normal, thick and stiff hair, and hair that tends to spread
Finish (official) Airy at the roots and light at the ends. A light, non-sticky feel with natural movement Soft without stickiness, with a moisturized texture. Even hard-to-manage hair settles easily
Main differences in the full ingredient list Lanolin, hydrolyzed silk Shea butter, Gluconobacter/honey ferment filtrate, phytosteryl macadamiate
Shared Keratin (feather), human hair follicle stem cell conditioned media, 5 ceramides, cholesterol / pH 4.0 / Refresh Grapefruit scent / 400mL (bottle), 1,000g (pouch)

  1. Shampoo: wet hair thoroughly, lather lightly and spread over all the hair. Wash as if massaging from the scalp, then rinse
  2. Treatment (Smooth / Moist): remove excess water lightly, apply mainly to the ends and work through all the hair. Leave for 2–3 minutes, then rinse
  3. Silky Emulsion: apply an appropriate amount mainly to the ends and dry. A finishing product that uses the dryer's heat to smooth the cuticle

ToiToiToi vs. GALBA

ToiToiToi GALBA CMC Care
Main concerns (official) Hard-to-manage hair, such as frizz and waves Hair damage and dryness, waves and flyaways
Approach (official) Hair texture care focusing on "distortion" in the hair's internal structure Specialized in caring for the CMC (cell membrane complex)

As a guide, ToiToiToi if frizz or waves keep your hair from holding its shape, and GALBA if damage from coloring or dryness bothers you.
