"Tsururincho," the hair care from "Kami ni Drama wo.", now has 4 lines: REGULAR, REPAIR, AIR and BOOSTER. Shampoos come in Regular, Repair and Booster, and treatments in Regular, Air and Repair.

A guide when unsure

For daily dryness and waviness in stiff, thick hair, Regular. For fine, soft hair where heat or color damage is a concern, Repair. Booster is not for daily shampooing but for special care once every 3 days.

The maker also recommends Repair to people who "have had their hair straightened." Ends that have been repeatedly straightened or bleached are damaged to a different degree than the roots, even on the same hair. Air is a treatment-only line. For the shampoo, choose Regular or Repair according to your hair damage. The maker describes the scent of Regular, Air and Repair as "an elegant savon," and Booster as "a fresh savon with clarity."

How to use: the "3-minute foam pack"

The maker says the way to use it is a little different from an ordinary shampoo and asks users to follow the amount and steps.

Pre-rinse hair and scalp thoroughly with water at 39°C or below
Lather the shampoo well in your palms and spread it through all your hair (use plenty, since too little won't make the foam pack work)
Leave the foam on for 3 minutes, then rinse thoroughly
Without draining the water, work the treatment in together with plenty of moisture

3 minutes feels surprisingly long. Deciding on an order, such as washing your body while the foam is on, makes it easier to keep up. If you have long hair, check with your hands at the end that the foam reaches the ends.

When to use Booster Shampoo

Use Booster as special care once every 3 days, in this order: pre-rinse → lather and wash (run your fingers through the ends and massage the scalp) → 3-minute foam pack → rinse and apply treatment. The maker calls hair with too much shampoo, treatment and styling product ingredients on it "build-up hair," and says Booster can also be used to clear it. It's a guide for people who use a lot of treatment or leave-in products, or leave them on for a long time, to reconsider their routine.

Can I use just the shampoo?

The maker's steps are to do the foam pack with the shampoo and then condition with Tsururincho treatment. The finish when combined with other treatments is not covered in the maker's guidance.

Is there a trial size?

The maker offers 80mL for Regular and Booster, but we carry 400mL and 1000mL.

How do I choose between the Repair and Air treatments?

Both are for soft, fine and normal hair: Repair for medium to high damage, and Air for low to medium damage with a light finish.
